IISJ caters primarily to the Indian expat community in Japan.

As a CBSE School, we follow the national Indian curriculum and offer programs in Kindergarten (Montessori), Elementary School, Middle School, Secondary School and Senior Secondary School. Our Grades 10 and 12 sit for the CBSE Board Exams. IB is offered in Grades 11 and 12 only.

English is the language of instruction and because of the rigor of the CBSE curriculum, students must have a high degree of English competency. Admission of non-Indian nationals is subject to our policy of maintaining a balance in nationalities, gender, and ability in each classroom. At least one parent of all prospective students must speak fluent English.
